I just got a call from my new manager....
   It's not the position that I originally went for, but they have offered me a chance to train up and hopefully get there eventually. But to be honest, I don't care....it's a job at the end of the day and that's all that I care about, especially with so many people out of work or getting laid off, I'm counting myself lucky. But it's been a long time coming. I was getting sick of sending C.Vs and covering letters, bored of filling in application forms.
   They want me to do some training before I start officially, which is okay with me. But it could be as soon as tomorrow. Just waiting for a phone call to confirm. And then I officially start on Monday in the store that I will be based at.
   The only thing I am worried about is that they want 2 references. One being from an employer. Now, the most recent one is Forbidden Planet and considering the way I "left", I'm not too sure if I will get one. But, from what I can recall, they have given me a reference before for an interview that I went to months ago. I have emailed the HR department and I'm hoping to get a reply from them soon. I'm hoping that my luck hasn't run out!!

Well the good news is that I do still have a job.
There was a moment yesterday morning when I was on the train, when I had the horrible thought that I might get the sack.
So I am now on my first written warning, which is shite, but I suppose it could have been worse. And according to Steve, he sees me as a valuable member of staff. I think that it's just management talk, which is always bullshit.
But I still have money coming in, and I can take my time looking for a new job.
The only thing I wasn't really happy about is the fact that they are trying to make it difficult for me to opt of working on Sundays, but they are going to try and come up with some kind of agreement.
