This was just going to be a test post, as I am doing this from my phone. But as it happens my laptop has decided to go on strike. It's been acting funny for a while now, but I have ignored it. Until recently when it started locking up and crashing. I got Phil to look at it last week and he said that it sounded like the hard drive was on its way out. Well, that become apparent when it started making some really horrible sounds this morning. So I decided to try it again when I got home from work, but it seems to have got worse even though it's been off all day. But lucky for me, I work at place that sells computery stuff. So Phil is going to replace my hard drive and can save all my music that I have on there. Lucky most of my photos are on Facebook. So, this test of a entry has turned out to be more than a test. I am hoping that I will have my laptop back tomorrow evening. *fingers crossed*

   I have just got out of the bath, where I was reading "My Boring Ass Life" which is the diary/blog of the genius that is Kevin Smith, and as I was reading that, I realised that I have been neglecting LJ for a while. But then, if Kevin Smith thinks that he has a "Boring Ass Life" then what the hell does that make mine? It has come down to me filling up this LJ with Tweets, but even then I can neglect that too. Well, it asks "what are you doing?".... that's usually nothing or something extremely mundane and boring, which I am sure that no-one really wants to know about. So, then I ask myself, "why do I have a Twitter account?" Maybe it's to peek into other peoples lives...mainly celebrities and people that I will never meet. But it is a useful way to find out information too. But anyway..... back to this LJ and my lack of updates. But saying that, there is a "blog" that I do update more frequently that for my eyes only, but that's me mainly bitching about my "love life" or to be more exact...the lack of it. And the reason that it's private, is because I don't want this to be filled up with "EMO" type updates about how rubbish I am feeling about certain situations that I put myself in. So, I have looked back at entries....the ones that aren't me Tweeting about random crap, and have realised that I have missed out on quite a few things.
   There was Sarah and Scotts engagement drinks and family party, that felt slightly weird going too. Most/all of Sarahs family know about me or have met me at some point over the years, so seeing them wasn't so bad. But being introduced to Scotts family was a little bit strange and I was nervous about it. I felt like I was meeting the "In Laws" even though I'm not getting married to Scott. But it turned out to be an interesting and nice night.
   A certain American decided to come back into my life and declare his love for me. Even though it wasn't the only time that someone said that they loved me in that week. But the less said about that, the better.
   Went to the cinema to see Zombieland with John. And even though it's not the greatest film, it's totally worth it just for Bill "Fucking" Murray!!
   Saw Kevin Smith at the 02, which was brilliant and the man is a genius. I will have to try and get tickets for the next time he visits these shores.
   Halloween happened. Wasn't the most exciting time that I have had, but it was a night out.

   And so that's the past month or so, in a nutshell. Not that great, but it has made me think that maybe I should update more often and with more detail. Not just trying to remember random things. And I really need to take more photos......I feel like I am neglecting my camera.

But right now, I'm going to have to go and make a really hard decision.....what game to play? Brutal Legend or Ghostbusters?

Oh and I seem to have becoming slightly addicted to crisp sandwiches. Which I am sure isn't good for the waistline, but they are so damn nice!!!

Tonight is Guy Fawkes night....or Bonfire night. I'm sure that not many people call it Guy Fawkes night anymore. And if I asked "the youth of today" why we have fireworks on November 5th, I am pretty sure that they wouldn't know the real reason. It's funny, as soon as I start writing this, a house a few doors down has just started setting off fireworks!!
I love this time of year.....Halloween followed by Guy Fawkes night, it's a special 5 days....or longer, especially as I am sure that there will be a few firework displays being held tomorrow and Saturday too. I would love to be going to one, especially at Crystal Palace park, even though I am sure that it's not as great as it used to be. I don't see any advertising for it anymore and I'm pretty sure that it's not sponsered by Capital FM anymore. I remember people coming from all over London to go to Crystal Palace. I still would have liked to have gone tonight, but as the advertising seems to have been non-existant (and has been for the past few years), I didn't know that it was on. But then, would I really have enjoyed it on my own?
